Who can become an Associate Member?

·        You will reach financial and practical help using IMechE benevolent fund: Support Network.

How to fill up the online application form:

The application form is split into the below-given sections that must be completed before you submit your application:

1.   Personal and employment details:

You can update this information in My Profile.

2.   Education:

You need to have a scanned version of any academic certificates to hand as you will be asked to upload these.

Your undergraduate degree certification needs to contain the following information:

1.   Qualification Award (for example BEng (H), MEng, and so on)

2.   Awarding university

3.   Subject Title of the award on a certificate (for example, Mechanical Engineering)

4.   Class or Result (for example 2nd Class Honours, Merit, and so on)

5.   Date of award

If any of the above-listed information is missing from your degree certificate, you will also be required to upload a copy of your transcript/results.

If having not got your official certificate, as you have recently graduated, submit a letter from the awarding body confirming the information above.

The authority can’t accept degree evidence, which states ‘valid for online only or not an official copy’.

All documents need to be in English in their original language and translated into English, if applicable.

There is a 4MB size limit for uploaded documents; anything over this will be an invitation to rejection.

3.   Industry Classification

4.   Stay in Touch

The authority has included a validation page highlighting if any information is missing. You will be unable to apply to the evaluation if there are any incomplete sections.

If you can’t apply online, apply using the PDF application form available on the official website.
