NER Assessment or, National
Engineering Register Assessment serves a wide range of specialists in
engineering. Both the non-members and the members of the Australian engineer
make the eligibility to take the NER Direct Assessment.
Steps to Register as a NER Assessment
● The applicant needs to have an
experience of at least 4 years of full-time work experience post-graduation.
● The applicant should have two job
referrals that they completed earlier to get registered for the NER assessment.
● The participle will go through some
qualification tests such as the need to have an associate degree in engineering
or, a diploma.
● The applicant needs to have a
bachelor's degree in either engineering science, technology, or, a related
engineering field.
● It is needed for the candidate to
have a five-year master's degree or, equivalent four-year bachelor’s degree as
a professional engineer.
Evidence of self-practice
In the initial step, it is needed for the
candidate to compare the competencies for NER Direct assessment. As part of the
online application, the applicant needs to finish the self-assessment from the
type of occupation such as the engineering technologist, or professional
engineer. The applicant should have to include a resume that includes all the
projects done by them previously. Chances, issues, and situations need to be
encountered by the applicants and the abilities need to be used. The applicant
needs to verify the recent experience of employment and the engineer should
have experience of at least 5 years as a post-graduate. The candidate needs to
have professional contact previously and knowledge about the self-assessment.
The assessor will touch all the referees of the candidates and discuss the
candidate’s work experience. The professional background of the participant
will be thoroughly assessed by the accessor. The last phase of the NER Assessment
belongs to the interview phase and the evaluation of the candidate. The
competencies of the candidate are demonstrated and the practice capacity of
them is demonstrated. Through the online video, the interview will take part.
From my perspective it can be said that the candidate should be selected as per
the required competencies.
