Professional Engineers Ontario Licence Reinstatement

 Are you a former P.Eng. licence holder with PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario) who has resigned the licence in the past or had the licence cancelled due to outstanding fees? If yes, then you can apply as a Reinstatement applicant. If applying as a P.Eng. Reinstatement Applicant, send your P.Eng. Reinstatement Application form and necessary documents to reinstatements@peo.on.ca for review purposes.



Dependent on the date of the cancellation or resignation of your P.Eng. licence with Professional Engineers Ontario, adhere to the corresponding submission requirements given below.

Your registration or cancellation date will be on your PEO licence cancellation mail/letter. If you can’t locate this information, reach Financial Services by phone at 416-224-1100 ext. 1125 to get this information.

Submission Requirements:

1.   If your licence has been cancelled for a period of up to 90 days, log in to your PEO portal account and pay your fees by means of the following link https://secure.peo.on.ca/ebusiness/home. If not having a PEO portal account, reach Financial Services at 416-224-1100 ext. 1125.

2.   If your licence has been canceled for 91 to 365 days, reach PEO’s Financial Services department to reinstate your licence at 416-224-1100 ext. 1125.

3.   If your licence has been cancelled for a period of 1 to 2 years or you resigned it in the past, apply again by submitting your P.Eng. Reinstatement Applicant form along with an acceptable identification document. For your referee list, include a minimum of two referees (they are not required to be a P.Eng. licence holder). You have to submit this information to reinstatments@peo.on.ca for review.

4.   If your licence has been cancelled for 2 or more years, apply again by submitting your P.Eng. Reinstatement Application form, an acceptable identification document, a Codes and Standards Experience Form, and a Professional Development Report. For your referee list, include a minimum of two P.Eng. licence holders currently working with you. You must submit this information to reinstatements@peo.on.ca for review purposes.

Reinstatement fees:

Cancelled for up to a period of 90 days:

The reinstatement registration fee of $60 and HST;

The annual fees for the current year and HST

Cancelled for a period of 91 to 365 days:

Reinstatement registration fee of $280 and HST;

The fees owing at the licence cancellation time and HST;

The annual fees for the current year and HST

Cancelled for a period of 1 to 2 years:

Reinstatement registration fee of $280 and HST;

The fees owing at the licence cancellation time and HST;

The annual fees for the current year and HST

Cancelled for a period of 2 or more years:

Reinstatement registration fee of $555 and HST;

The fees owing the licence cancellation time and HST;

The annual fees for the current year and HST

Resigned Members:

HST and reinstatement registration fee of $280;

The fees owing the at cancellation time and HST;

The annual fees for the current year and HST

 

Changes to the P.Eng Reinstatement application:

The necessary documents that are required to apply for PEO Canada reinstatement will change as of July 1, 2023, or earlier. A current reinstatement applicant will continue their licensing process as normal until further notice.
